ARA construction has been award the Trailblazer Award for 2012 & 2013 by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The award recognizes ARA’s outstanding performance in NYSERDA’s solar thermal program over the past two years.

Central to ARA’s success is its team approach in applying solar thermal technology on a large scale. The event organizers highlighted one of ARA’s recent projects on the campus of Syracuse University as a prime example of how a solar thermal installation project should be done. ARA’s team installed 40 solar thermal systems on student residences located on the Universities South Campus. The project is estimated to save over 300,000 kilowatts-hours of electricity annually.

ARA will continue to “blaze the trail” in the solar thermal field, particularly in the area of field installation and project management. Energy costs continue to spiral upward. It is the companies who innovate in the renewable energy industry and set about actually making scientific theories a reality on construction projects that will ultimately lead the charge in energy security over the medium to long term.
